Flivasorb®

Superabsorbent dressings with extremely high absorption and retention capacities

Fields of application

  • heavily exuding wounds
  • superficial wounds in the exudation phase, e.g.:

    • ulcers of varied origin
    • second degree burns

  • postoperative wound healing by secondary intention
  • pressure sores

Features/ Benefits

  • very high capacity to absorb and retain wound exudate
  • absorbent core with superabsorber, which can absorb up to 20 times weight
  • cost and time savings fewer dressing changes
  • protect maceration of the wound edge and promote wound healing moist wound environment5) 6)
  • attractive to patients:

    • thin
    • flexible
    • cushioning

  • reduces the risk of adhering to the wound6)7)8)9)10)11)
  • with clothing protection

To note

  • Do not cut the dressing

Superabsorber polymers absorb many times their own weight in fluids and do not release the retained exudate even under mechanical pressure. This is how the wound margins are protected from maceration. Flivasorb can be used to excellent effect under compression bandages.

Managing heavily exuding wounds can be costly when valuable time and resources are spent on frequent dressing changes. Flivasorb super absorbent dressing, with its very high absorption capacity, helps allow for fewer dressing changes which saves time and money.
